Helen A. Wilcox

Helen A. Wilcox, 97, of Rockford, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Wesley Willows Personal Care. Born June 28, 1912 in Dumont, Iowa the daughter of Alfred W. and Icea (Keister) Wilcox. Helen attended University of Wisconsin, Madison and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors degree and went on to receive her Masters degree from Rockford College. She was a music teacher and supervisor in the Rockford School District No.205 for 39 years. A member of Aldersgate United Methodist church and several professional and community organizations. Survivors include 2 nieces and 2 nephews. A special thank you to all of her caregivers at Wesley Willows and Lynn Fiske. At Helens request all services will be private. Cremation rites accorded by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory. Inurnment in Dumont Cemetery, Dumont, IA. Memorials may be made in her name to: Wesley Willows Good Samaritan Fund.
