Hugh J Ulbert

Hugh J. Ulbert, 78 of Rockford, formerly of Chicago, passed away September 1, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. Born August 14, 1940 in Chicago; he was the son of Hugh F. and Dorothy (Connolly) Ulbert.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara J. Ulbert; children, Brian, Bonnie (deceased) and Bridget; grandchildren, Sari (Dave), Nicholas (deceased), Joseph, Zachary and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Madison and Dylan, siblings James (Betty) Ulbert, Thomas Ulbert, Sean (Estephanie) Ulbert, Mary (Marty) Sebastian, Loretta Hofmann-Long and Donna Singleton; brothers-in-law, Ken Pritchard and John Draz (Christine), sister-in-law Judy Schneider and Kate Ulbert, son-in-law Scott Mueller(Patty) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Kathleen Pritchard; brother Dennis Ulbert; brothers-in law James Schneider, Thomas Schneider and Russ Long.
Hugh was an Electrician for 47 years Local 134 IBEW. He was a blues club and pub owner, avid golfer, loving father and proud grandfather.

Memorial Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Walter's Catholic Church,130 W Pine St, Roselle. Lunch and open house 12:30 p.m. at 1246 Central Park Drive, Carol Stream. Memorials to the family.
