I. Jay Lewis, 87, Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born on May 3, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Jay was a loving man and greatly supportive of his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom have all been blessed by being a part of his life. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Matthew T. Rudden officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service on Saturday.
