Ida Rosetta Reinhold

Ida Rosetta Reinhold, 96, Rockford passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Trustwell Living at Cherryvale Place. She was born on February 26, 1929, in Urbana, the daughter of Cornelius and Marie (Bruns) Thompson. Ida married Walter “Walt” E. Reinhold in Urbana on June 3, 1956. He passed away on November 18, 2020. Ida was a long time member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she was active in many areas. She loved teaching Sunday School, and was a member of the sacristans and fine art committees. Ida also enjoyed sewing, and used her talents to create beautiful banners for the church. She was an election judge for many years as well.

Survived by her daughters, Julie (Randy) Peterson and Lisa (Bob) Williams; her granddaughters, Taylor and Paige Williams; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Walt and her 5 siblings, Anna, Rosie, Grace, Mayne and John.

Private family funeral services will be held and inurnment will be in the columbarium at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family.
