Irma M. Rebelak, 84, Rockford, died Monday, April 28, 2014 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born November 18, 1929 in Rockford, daughter of Barbara Sartino Renaldi. Graduated from Muldoon High School. She and Edward Rebelak were married on November 19, 1949. She owned her own beauty salon for many years and was then the Activity Director at Alpine Fireside Health Center. Irma had a personality that made her the center of attention. She and Edward traveled extensively and had lived in Hawaii for 2 years. She loved to excersise, especially walking and swimming. She also enjoyed shopping and trips to the gambling boat. Irma was always a loving mother, grandma and great-grandma whose family will miss her big brown eyes and her beautiful smile.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Charmaine) Rebelak and Gary (Bev Sweet) Rebelak; grandchildren, Bruce, Jr., Tony, Rosemary, Gary, Jr., Jeff, Violet, Nate, David and Sam; 10 great-grandchildren, her aunt, Sr. Dora, OSF and her extended family at River Bluff Nursing Home who her family would like to thank for taking such good care of her. Predeceased by her husband in 1983 and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Mass at the church. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
