Jacqueline R. Haynes, 71 a lifelong resident of Rockford, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 in her home. She was born February 21, 1943 the daughter of James and Rose McKee and was a proud graduate of West High School. Jackie worked as an administrative assistant for over 35 years at Hamilton-Sundstrand and after she retired, she happily worked for Physicians Immediate Care for the past 10 years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church and took part in the Bethany Circle. Jackie also enjoyed baking goodies and love the outdoors, hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, canoeing, bicycling, Severson Dells, Door County and belonged to the Midwest Voyagers Canoe Club. She was a kind, caring and wonderful person who loved her family, friends and co-workers very much, she will be missed greatly by all. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to Rev. Brent Dahlseng for the time, compassion and comfort he provided to Jackie and her family these past months.
Survivors include her children, Bill Haynes of Rockford and Lynn (John) Shultz of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Mollie Smith, Meagan (Reza) Bheldy, Kalyn Shultz and Cameron Shultz; great grandchildren, Mollie Smith, Jordyn Smith and Kinley Bheldy; siblings, Sharon Johnson, Janice (James) Ditsworth; Cynthia Smyth, Geraldine (Mike) Houy and James McKee; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend for nearly 70 years, Judy Branson. Preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church , 313 Grand Ave., Loves Park with Rev. Brent Dahlseng officiating with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial in her name to the church or OSF Hospice, Rockford.
