James Casey

James R. Casey, 86, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012. He was born in Nekoosa, WI. on July 31, 1925; the son of James and Elva (Squires) Casey. Jim was a proud US Army veteran serving in Germany as a member of Co. A 96 th Infantry. He married Leona Stokes in Rockford on December 12, 1953.
He worked as a machinist at Rockford Screw Products for 40 years until his retirement.
Jim was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a lifelong member o f 7 th Street V.F.W. Post 5149.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leona; children, Jeanelle (Melvin) Rill and Larry Paul Casey; sister, Pat Literski; 10 grandchildren, Calista Knight, Trisha Biley, Julie Jardine, Monica Whitmire and 6 others; 18 greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by parents and son, James William Casey.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Father William R. Wentink officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
