James Hurd

W. James Hurd 68 of Rockford passed away Wednesday April 20, 2011 in his home. He was born June 26, 1942 in Rockford, the son of William S. and Emma Hurd. He married Donna Rotolo Eye on October 9, 1992. He worked for Dierks Waukeshau, member of the Moose Club and a graduate of East High School, class of 1960.Survivors include his wife Donna. Two Children Julie (Mark) Goldstein of Henderson, NV and Jeff (Tracy) Hurd of Hawthorne, FL. Grandchildren, Justin and Michael Goldstein, Meghan and Devon Hurd. Step-Children, Dana Thorn of Tyler, TX and Denise Eye of Houston, TX. Step-grandchild, Tiffany Dresser. Step-great grandchild, Ryker Rambatt. Step-brothers and sisters, Pat (Lee) Hassel of Phoenix, AZ, Meryl (John) Knight of Freeport, Kathy (Roger) Lundholm of Rockford and Daniel (Lori) Burd of Rockford. Predeceased by his parents.Memorial Service at 5:30pm Monday, April 25, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel. Visitation at the funeral home from 3:30pm until time of service, Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials to Swedish American Foundation or Northern Illinois Hospice.
