Jane Allen

JaneAllen,94,ofRockforddiedonSaturday, February 9, 2013, in the home of her daughter and surrounded by her family.Jane and her late husband Tom were long time residents of Rockford and parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church.They previously lived in Wheaton, Illinois and San Diego California. Jane was an avid collector of vintage toys and dolls which she found at estate and garage sales in the Rockford area.She sold many of her finds through dealers over the years and most recently on eBay. For the past 6 years she's been living at The Grand Victorian independent living facility in Rockford where she made many good friends. Jane is survived by her children: Julie, Tom Allen Jr., and Mary(Don 7 grandchildren, John Jr. , Jane (Maurice) ; Amy(Mark), William (Shannon),Julie (Ben), Lori (Corey), and Robert Jr.; 13 great grandchildren: Julianna , Mickey, Sam, Willy, Kate, Nick, Jillian, Grace, Mia, Jane, Max, Jacob and Macie ; sisterinlaw, Catherine and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her husband Thomas Allen; soninlaw John; her parents Edward and Esther; her brothers, William and Edward; sisters and brothersinlaw; Estelle(Francis), Agnes (Jack). Funeral Mass, Thursday,February 14, 2013 at Noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be held in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Winnebago. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Hospice at 4223 E.
