Janice Kirchner

Janice Kirchner, 74, of Rockford died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Mercy Health Systems. Born September 25, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Darl and Lucille (Houghton) Lloyd. Married her loving husband John Kirchner, raised her children and when they were grown, went to work for UPS as a sorter for many years until her retirement. She loved to travel, play bingo, crosswords, reading, and watching her cowboy shows. Survived by Daughters Bonnie Kirchner, Laura Bowden (Brent); sons John Kirchner (Lori Browning), Jeff Kirchner (Christine Jahn). Siblings, Gary Houghton (Carol), Diane Swanson (Jerry), Loretta Conti (Steve), George Houghton (Sue), Terry Houghton, Jan Lutz (Richard), Robert Lloyd (Julie), Randy Lloyd (Vicki), Sharon DeBolt (Jim), Richard Lloyd. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Darl Lloyd (Lorraine), Lucille Houghton (George), daughter in law Gayle Kirchner, and brother, Terry Lloyd. Private farewell for immediate family before cremation. A celebration of life to be announced at a later time.
