Jennifer R. Heaslip

Jennifer R. Heaslip, 95, of Rockford, passed away on November 3, 2023. She was born on August 27, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of John and Rita (Pompei) Mastrangeli, both originally from Italy. She is a graduate of East High School, class of 1946. She married Richard Heaslip on August 10, 1955. She worked as a realtor for Whitehead Inc. Realtors for many years. Jennifer was a lifelong member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and cherished the time boating with her husband. Before her career as a realtor, she taught Italian kids to speak English at Lincoln Middle School. She enjoyed watching sports, especially golf, basketball, and football.

She is survived by her children, Dan (Val) Heaslip and Pete (Kelly) Heaslip; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard; parents; sons, Charles Salamone and Steve Heaslip; daughter, Kathy Peterson; and grandson, Dylan Heaslip.
