Jeremy Tayden Knight, 24, Rockford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2009. Born May 17, 1985 in Rockford. Jeremy attended West Middle School, Auburn and Winnebago High Schools. He later went back and completed his High School Equivalency Diploma. He worked at MCI where he was a top performing salesperson and later worked at Sams Ristorante and Pinos Restaurant. Jeremy loved all sports, especially football and basketball. He was an avid Bears fan. Jeremy loved his family and friends and was the life of the party. He lit up any room he entered with his bright smile and infectious laugh. His sense of humor, giving nature and loving heart will be deeply missed.
Survived by his parents, Linda Knight and Bill Knight; sisters, Anita and Kara Knight; grandfather, Robert Knecht; grandmother, Margaret Aldridge; uncles, Mike (Jackie) Knecht, Mark Knecht; aunts, Sue Knecht,Pam (Jim) Spatz and Debbie Aldridge. Also survived by his cousins, Dana (Dave) Corey, Jake Knecht, Chris and Stephanie Spatz, Brian, Jaye and Josh Corey and numerous great- aunts, great-uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his brother, Joshua, grandmother, Anita Knecht and great-grandmothers, Edith Daniels and Helen Gipson.
Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Randy Young officiating. Visitation on Friday from 6-8p.m. in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
