Rockford— Joan Lewis, 81 of Rockford died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Anam Glen. Born April 7, 1933 in Rockford to Dewitt and Catherine (O'Brien) Blockley. Joan married Jay Lewis in Rockford on April 11, 1957. Member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Predeceased by; Spouse, Jay; Daughter, Debra Ann; Sister, Mary Andreoni and brother, Gene Blockley.
Survivors; Sons, Michael (Kathryn) Lewis and David (Sandee) Lewis; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Bethany, Christopher and Erin; Great-grandchildren, Veronica, Dakotah, Justin, Bella and Perola, and nieces, Linda Andreoni, Diane Zanocco, Susan Benskin and Julie Castree.
Funeral Mass Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Rita Catholic Church 6254 Valley Knoll Drive. Visitation from 10:00am to 10:45am at St. Rita Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to Anam Glen, in an expression of gratitude for their loving care of Joan.
