Joanne C. Jones

Joanne Catherine Jones, 86, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Joanne was born in Chicago, IL on August 27, 1937, daughter of Joseph and Anna Pflaumer Sinkovitz. She graduated from St. Michael High School in Chicago and went on to work as an editor for the Santa Fe Railway for many years. Joanne enjoyed taking care of her garden, and bird watching.  Most of all, Joanne cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones. She will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor Joanne’s memory include her children, Catherine and Michael DeFrancesca, Sandra and (Ed) Hansen, Edward Jones,  and Daniel Jones; grandchildren, Brian and (Meghan) Hansen, Katherine Hansen and Michael (Stephanie) DeFrancesca; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Eli, Gianny, Marcello, and Emma.
