John K. J.O. Oehlberg, 54, Cherry Valley, died at 12:12 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Born May 8, 1955 in Chicago, son of John J. and Barbara M. Springer Oehlberg.nbsp; Lived most of his life in Rockford where he graduated from East High School in 1973.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; He was a skilled self-employed carpenter and master craftsman.nbsp; John had many friends and was an adventurous, outgoing man who loved to hunt and fish.nbsp;
Survivors include his children, Lissa Ernst and Brent (Erin) Oehlberg; grandson, Jackson Steltmann; brother, Gary (Ellen) Oehlberg; sisters, Sharon (Ken) Auestad, Kathy (Tom) Gorzynski and several nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents.nbsp;
A celebration of Johns life will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Rene Escalante officiating.nbsp; Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday.nbsp; Condolences and memories can be shared at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
