Judith Ann Condon

Judith “Judy” Ann Condon, 85, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Judy was born in Rockford, IL on August 24, 1940, the daughter of Frank P. and Claire (Schneider) Wilson. She graduated from High School and went on to earn her master’s degree in education from Marquette University. Judy worked for over 50 years as a dedicated teacher and mentor to all who learned from her.

She married Leonard W. Condon on August 4, 1962. He passed away on August 4, 1962. Judy was strong in her Catholic faith and a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Peter in Rockford.

Judy loved to read as there was always a book in her hand. She also loved to cook for everyone and they all looked forward to and enjoyed her delicious cooking. Judy also loved to plant beautiful flowers in her backyard which were a delight for all to see. She will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor Judy’s memory include her children, Joseph Condon, David (Anna) Condon, Charles (Brenda) Condon and Jinny Condon along with 9 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents.

Funeral Mass will be held on TBD, July TBD, 2026. Visitation will be from TBD until the time of Mass. Burial will conclude in St. Mary/St. James Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choosing in honor of Judy’s life.
