Juergen "Mike" M. Beutel

Juergen “Mike” Michael Beutel, 81, Loves Park, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was born on November 3, 1944, in Germany, the son of Ernst and Rosa (Bohl) Beutel. He married the love of his life, Deborah (Ittner) Beutel on December 16, 1967, in Canton, Ohio.

Mike graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering. He had a long career in the bearing industry and was the president of GMN-Torrington Company and the general manager of Sub Source, INC in Rockford.

He remained the #1 Ohio State Buckeye’s fan throughout his life. Sports were very important to him, as he was an All-American Soccer player in college. His love of sports extended to softball, basketball, bicycling, and snow skiing. Traveling and his family are what he loved most of all, especially when he shared many groan worthy dad jokes.

Mike’s faith was a big part of his life. He remained an active member of Central Christian Church and was a leader of the Young at Heart church group with his wife. He also was a board member of the YMCA, Rockford Symphony Orchestra and Laurent House.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Debbie; his children, Beth Ann (Alan) Larson, and David Michael (Susan Marie) Beutel; his grandchildren, Helena Rose Hackman, Brittany Alanna Britz, Alec Cole Beutel, Max William Beutel, Luke David Beutel and Ella Grace Beutel; he is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Christa Quick; and his brother, Ernest Beutel.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, December 20 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Rd, Rockford, IL 61107.
