June "Ja" Im

June Ja Im, 70, of Rockford passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. June was born July 20, 1944 in Taegu,Korea. She moved to the Rockford area in 1971. June married Kong Im on January 7, 1986. June worked as a machine operator at Warner Lambert for many years. After retirement June found joy in being a homemaker. June was a faithful Christian and she was a dedicated member of Rockford Korean Presbyterian Church where she served as a Church Mother. June spent time swimming and walking at the downtown YMCA. She also enjoyed planting flowers and feeding squirrels. June is survived by her husband, Kong; son, Marshall and her two grandchildren David and Elaina. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, Illinois 61108. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 and also from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, October 15 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
