Katherine "Kathy" A. Rhodes

Kathryn “Kathy” Angela Rhodes, 65, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in her home. She was born April 17, 1959, in Rockford, the daughter of Donald and Jean (Sciortino) Johnson. She was a graduate of Rockford East High School. Kathy married Perry Rhodes in Rockford on May 16, 1981. She worked in accounting for Barber Coleman Company for many years and then became a domestic engineer.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Perry; her daughter, Kara (Dana) Wasilewski of Rockford and her son, Daniel Rhodes of Toledo, OH; her brother, Donald (Lee) Johnson; her brothers-in-law, Peter (Katrina) Rhodes, Paul (Kristi) Rhodes, Paxton (Kelli) Rhodes and Joseph Ambrogio; her sister-in-law, Patty Hawthorne; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; her sister-in-law, Pamela Ambrogio; her brother-in-law, Dan Hawthorne.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, with Reverend Wendell Maynard officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
