Keith H. Rockwood, 88 Keith H. Rockwood, 88 of Rockford, died on Friday, April 13, 2007 in his home. Born on November 27, 1918 in Juliaetta, Idaho the son of Arthur and Viola (Riffe) Rockwood. The family moved to Mabton, Washington where he lived until joining the military. A decorated United States Veteran, he served in the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater and at Ft. Lewis in Washington as a master Sgt. While stationed at Ft. Lewis, he met the former Dorothy Losberger of Monroe, WI., who was a civilian worker with the German P.O.W.s. They were married on September 4, 1945 in Yakima, Wa. They made their home for several years in Selah, Wa., where he was employed by John Deere before moving to Illinois. He and Dorothy spent 55 special years together until her death in 2000. He still missed her greatly. In 1984 Keith retired as an Electrical Engineer from Electrol Specialties in South Beloit. While he enjoyed gardening, backyard bird watching and woodworking projects, his family was his greatest joy. His kindness, generosity wisdom and unconditional love will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Ron) Judah of Oregon; grandchildren, Christopher Judah of Ashton, Lisa (Phillip) Altice of Stillman Valley, Sheri (Adam) Maxwell of Oregon and Marine Lance Corporal Ryan Judah of Oregon (currently stationed in Japan great grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Altice and Elias Maxwell. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lorena Powell of Mabton, WA.. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Clark of 1st Baptist Church, Oregon officiating, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Interment will be held in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday in the funeral home from 10:00 11:00 a.m.
