Kenneth “Ken” Walter Lang, 79, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, in Rockford, Illinois. Born to Irwin and Hilda (Harder) Lang on October 23rd, 1943, in Wausau, Wisconsin. He married Karen (Fensterman) Lang in April of 1978. Ken obtained his associate degree at Wausau Technical College and worked in consulting at Ingersoll Engineers for 25 years. Ken attended Third Presbyterian and Westminster Church. He was a long-time blood donor, donating up to 20 gallons in his time. Ken enjoyed golfing, woodworking, rehabbing houses, counted cross stitch and the Green Bay Packers. He was an honest and hard-working husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen (Fensterman) Lang, children Katherine Spaw, Andrew (Mary) Lang, Richard (Beth) Lang, Robert (Jaimie) Lang; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Donald (Marilyn) Fensterman, Bruce Fensterman; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother James (Nancy) Lang, and in-laws Laurence and Ruth Fensterman.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N Bell School Road, Rockford, IL 61107. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the family or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
