Lance R. Jacobsen

Lance R. Jacobsen, 84, passed away at home on January 31, 2025 in Rockford, Illinois. Born in Chicago, Illinois on April 10, 1940, son to Richard and Irma (Beilstin) Jacobsen. He went on to attend Scammon Grammer School and graduate from Lane Technical High School. He spent two years at Wright Junior College in Chicago before going to the U.S. Army Aviation division and was honorably discharged after three years of service. He then spent 12 years as a mechanic for Delta Airlines. In 2003 he retired from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Safety Inspector after 25 years.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy Lamberty, and his two hunting buddies, Sunny and Harley. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Irma.
