Leona J. Mangiaforte, 93 of Rockford and formerly of Carbondale, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Provena Cor Mariae Center. Born January 20, 1915 in Christopher, IL, daughter of Steve and Anna (Petro) Kulsar. Married Joseph Mangiaforte 1933, he preceded her in 1985. Survivors include his children, Harry (Peggy) Mangiaforte of Machesney Park and Karen (Kenneth) Martin of Horseshoe Bay, TX; 9 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband and sister, Audrey Rowland. Leona has graciously donated her remains to SIU School of Medicine, Springfield, for Anatomical Research.
