Louisa Millar Freeman, 78, of Rockford, fell asleep in peace, Saturday, March 14, 2015. Born June 28, 1936, in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland; the daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Strain) King. Louisa was married to Clifton Freeman in 1980, and had a one daughter, Rachel. Louisa was previously married to John Brandon Sr., and had five children together.
Louisa is survived by her children, Steve (Sherry) Brandon, John Brandon Jr., Anna-Louise Maxwell, Maire Brandon, and Rachel Freeman; sister, Sadie Coll; 27 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, and one son, Russell Brandon.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice & Grief Center, 4215 Newburg Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108. Funeral arrangements are being cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
