Louise B. Williamson

Louise B. Williamson, 90, of Rockford, was promoted to glory by her Lord and Savior, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 14, 1932, in Franklin, Arkansas, the daughter of Maxie and Hattie Cline. She married John (JW) S. Williamson on August 6, 1955, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2009.

She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved all things outdoors, especially gardening, fishing, camping, and going to garage sales. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Louise was an understanding and generous woman who cherished her faith, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children, Johnny (Karen) Williamson and Pam (Greg) Davis; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kenneth) Anderson, Michael (Carly) Williamson, Marissa (Matt) Nyberg, Kristin Davis, and Joe (Kaitlyn) Davis; great grandchildren, Kaila, Devin, Hayley, Grant, Will, Mae, Luke, Layla, Bryn, Brooks, and Briar; and special friend, June Singery. She is predeceased by her parents; husband; infant son, Billie Jay; and five siblings.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. A visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 9:00 am. Burial will be in New Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
