Lucille (Mitchell) Mitchell, 95 Rockford" Lucille (Mitchell) Mitchell formerly of Chicago died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:35 p.m. at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born March 4, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Lillian (Callahan) and Frank Mitchell. Graduated from Englewood High School and later attended Roosevelt University in Chicago. Married William R. Mitchell on June 6, 1943 in Chicago, Il. Employed by the Internal Revenue Service advancing to the rank of auditor within the small business division for 35 years. Lucille enjoyed dancing with her husband Bill at the parkway Ballroom in Chicago. Survivors include; Husband, William R. Mitchell; Daughter, Marsa L. Mitchell, MD; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lillian and Frank Mitchell, Sister Julia; brothers, Frank, Lawrence and Howell. Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Fr. Pierre Polycarpe officiating. Visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
