Lucille E. Nadolski

Lucille E. Nadolski, 95, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Lucille was born in Chicago, IL, on March 24, 1930, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Dreas) Czerniejewski. During childhood, her family moved from Chicago to downstate Ashley, IL, where they lived on a farm. Lucille learned to value hard work at a young age, which led to her career of nearly 39 dedicated years as a roll thread operator and final inspector for Camcar Textron. She also held other jobs with National Lock Company, Ekstrom Carlson, and Rockford Country Club.

Lucille was devoted to her faith and was a longtime member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Rockford. She married William L. Nadolski on February 28, 1949, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. He passed away on September 22, 2012.

Lucille and Bill built their own home in Rockford. They enjoyed dancing and listening to polka music and traveling together, especially to Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Montana. Lucille also collected antique dishes, watched baseball, and kept a large backyard vegetable garden and beautiful flower beds. She will be missed dearly and remembered for her love of family, kindness, generosity, bright smile, and outgoing personality.

Surviving relatives include her son, Ted (Linda) Nadolski; grandchildren, Paul Nadolski and Lori (Dirk) Vanover; great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Veronica Vanover; brother, Albert (Maxine) Czerniejewski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille is predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings, Walter, Florence, and Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church for Masses to be said in Lucille's name.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, with visitation from 10:00  a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th Street, Rockford, IL 61109. Entombment will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
