Marcella A. Stelzer

Marcella A. Stelzer, 80, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born August 26, 1931 in Chicago, IL; the daughter of the late Samuel and Juliet (Werner) Spilky. Marcella was a strong willed, strong minded woman. Her family and friends came first. She worked many years at Cub Foods until retirement. Survivors include her children: Maureen (Chip) Barnes, Michael J. Stelzer, Gayle Stelzer, grandchildren, Philip Jeremy (Jim Cerven), Robyn S. Thomas (Adam Johnson), Paige Nicole Stelzer, brother, Clifford Spilky, niece, Peggy Zaparzinki, and her dog Enyce. She was predeceased by two sisters, Bessie Lambert and Rochelle Gordon. A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL. A memorial gathering will be 12 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
