Marcia Evans

Marcia Evans, 90, of South Beloit, formerly of Stockton, passed away on August 27, 2008 at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center. Born December 23, 1917 in Chicago, IL  she was the daughter of Claude Orlando and Ruth (Johannesen) Powell. She was a graduate of Elmhurst College, class of 1942. Marcia married Arthur Ellis Evans on May 3, 1947. He predeceased her March 25, 1988.   Marcia is survived by her daughters Margaret (William) Downing, Dorothy Lara, Gwen Havilaar, 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents.   Funeral Service will be September 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with Pastor Doug Gray of the 2nd Congregational Church of Beloit officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until time of service in the funeral home. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Round Lake Beach. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family. To
