Marianne C. Whyel

Marianne C. Whyel, 79, of Sycamore, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. She was born July 9, 1942, in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Kramer) Murray. She graduated from Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois. Marianne was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Sycamore and an officer of the Sycamore Women of the Moose. She loved to crochet and made beautiful gifts and blankets for her family and friends.
She is survived by her long-time partner, Keith Thompson; son, Thomas (Lydia) Dahlquist; grandchildren, Morgan Dahlquist, Avery Dahlquist, and Jesse Dahlquist; brother, William Murray (Nancy); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, brother, Kevin Murray, and sisters, Kathleen Harrleson and Sharon Murray.
