Mary Allen

Mary C. Allen, 77, of Rockford passed away Sunday February 10, 2013, in OSF St Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; She was born December 13, 1935, in Rockford, IL, the daughter ofnbsp; F.A. (Swanie) and Marion Swanson.nbsp; After graduation from West High School, Mary attended Michigan State University. She married Richard Allen on September 4, 1954 in Rockford.

nbsp;Mary spent her life taking care of her family, garden, home, and friends. She worked alongside her husband in their business, Entre Computer Center, from its opening in 1983 until 1996 managing financial matters. Mary loved to be at home, watching sports and tending to her flowers, but she also enjoyed travelling to see her family and friends, visiting national parks along the way. Mary loved the marathon card games she played with her close neighbors, children, and grandchildren.

nbsp;Survivors include he husband, Richard, and their three children, Vickie (Jim) Westfall of DeSoto, IA; Rick (Karen) Allen of Carrollton, TX; and Sherry (Chris) Hayes of Warrenton, VA.nbsp; Grandchildren: Sara, Jim, Kayla, Ryan, Madeleine, Ava, and Sabrina.nbsp; Predeceased by her parentsnbsp; and brother, Bill Swanson.

nbsp;Memorial service will be at 4 pm Friday, February 15, 2013, in Fitzgeraldnbsp; Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, with memorial visitation from 2:30 until service time.nbsp;
