Mary Anne Bonavia

“Devoted Mother”

Mary Anne Bonavia, 46, of Rockford, died suddenly in her home, on Friday, February 13, 2015. She was born in Rockford, on July 1, 1968; daughter of Michael and Mary (Notari) Bonavia. Mary was a gifted pianist and often wrote her own music. She was chosen by the State of Illinois Board of Education as a Young Author, an honor given to grade school children who are exceptional writers. Mary is survived by her parents, Michael and Mary Bonavia; sons, Michael and Jacob Redmond; brother, Joseph (Kari) Bonavia; nephews, Alex and Nicky Bonavia. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service on Friday. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either Mary’s family, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are being cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
