Mary C Schaumann

Mary C. Schaumann, 92, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Amberwood Care Center. Born October 1, 1924 in Mount Carroll, IL, the daughter of August & Nellie (Nelson) Verstraete. She married Harry Schaumann and later raised her four boys. She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She enjoyed being a devoted catholic and spending time with her family.
Survivors include sons Harold (Bonnie), Paul (significant other Dawn), Steven (Lisa), and Harry Jr. (Debra) Schaumann; grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Megan, Megan, Mary, Steven and Emma Schaumann; brother Vic Schaumann. Predeceased by parents, husband, 1 sister and 2 brothers, and grandchild Jamie. The family would like to give a special thanks to her “Angel” caregiver Barry for his loving care and support.
Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Bridget Catholic Church with a visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
