Mary E. Boatwright

Mary Ellen Boatwright, 82, of Rockford, died on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

She was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 24, 1941, daughter of George Gump and Martha (Reisner) Gump-Krause. She graduated from Granton High School in 1958 and spent her time taking care of her family. Mary married Cecil J. Boatwright in 1960 in Florida.

Mary is survived by her husband, Cecil Boatwright; son, Terry (Mary) Boatwright; grandchildren, Randy, Brandon, Nick, Austin, Allen, and Bradley; great-grandson, Donnie. She is predeceased by her son, Jerry Boatwright, her parents, and sister Laura Verhagen.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108.
