Mary Louise Eddy, 82, passed away in her hometown of Rockford on June 10, 2023. Born on November 23, 1940, daughter to Alfred and Myrtle (Doonan) Schopf. She graduated from Muldoon High School in 1959, and in 1968 started her 32-year career with Warner-Lambert, retiring in 2001. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and later in life became a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was well known in the community for the corn beef and cabbage dinners that she and her mother made before Mary officially took it over in the early 1990’s. in her free time she enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers, calling her children to see if they were watching the latest Chicago Bears or Cubs game, or spending time on the phone together watching The Price is Right. She was looking forward to going to the annual Eddy family Reunion as she had done for so many years. She will be remembered as an appreciative, loving and kind mother, grandmother, and friend.
She will be missed by those who loved her most, her children Lynndeana Eddy and Cindy (Tony) Troxel; her grandchildren Tiffany Powless, Caleb Troxel, Tyler Troxel and Courtney “CJ” Troxel; her siblings Robert (Pat) Schopf and Rose (Gerry) Mastroianni; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A very special mention to her dear friend Carol LeVoy. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Agnes Fussenger.
