Rockford—Mary P. (Oddo) Erwin, 55, of Rockford died Wednes-day, December 27, 2017 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a warrior and her posi-tive outlook inspired many. Born November 7, 1962 to Dianna (Hanson) and Lucian L. Oddo in Rockford. Graduated from Jef-ferson High School in 1981. Married Michael R. Erwin on No-vember 6, 1982 in Fisher Chapel at Rockford University. Worked as an Aide for Belvidere School District 100 for over 20 years.

Survived by daughter; Michelle (Adam) Erwin-Pohl; Mother and Step-father, Dianna (Gene) Halgrimson; Father, Lucian L. Oddo; Longtime Friend and Companion, Ron Degner; Aunt, Patricia Murawski; Siblings, Lou Ann (Nels) Horneij, Steven Oddo, Tina (Robert) Bates, Iline (Doug) Albrecht; Sisters-in-law, Cheryl Erwin and Teresa (Mike) Futrell; Brother-in-law, Doug Erwin; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her Husband Michael in 2007. Special thank you to friends and co-workers at District 100, as well as those who helped care for her in her final days.
