Mary Ann Rosandich, 82, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025. Born in Kennan, WI on September 21, 1942, to Joseph and Frances (Huven) Gehring. She married Robert “Bob” Rosandich in Catawba, WI on July 8, 1961. They were together 62 years until his passing in 2023. She worked as an accountant in the area for many years to help support her family. Mary was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, as well as participating in the Rockford ArtScene with friends. Anyone who knew her valued her creativity, a talented stained-glass artist and prolific gardener. Known for her delicious lavender shortbread cookies and pumpkin pies, she was a great baker as well. In her younger years, she was an equestrian, finding joy in caring for her three horses. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Rosandich; special friends, Barb Berney, Joyce Bowen; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; honorary granddaughter, Sarah; and honorary great-granddaughters, Allison and Alana. She is predeceased by her husband, Bob; sons, Robert and Brian Rosandich; sisters, Lila and Ida; brothers; Thomas and Joseph, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held at Loves Park VFW, 2018 Windsor Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111.
