Matthew E. Brown, 32, of Loves Park, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 1, 2009. Born May 20, 1976 the son of Micheal and Linda (Horter). Graduated from Auburn Academy and went on to receive his Bachelors degree in theater artsfrom Illinois State University. Growing up Matthew was involved in Boy Scouts and reached the rank of Life Scout. In high school he ran cross country and track, and sang with the Mendelssohn Childrens Choir for seven years. He enjoyed music and films,camping, and computers .Hewas a person who could always be counted on.His house was a haven for anyone in need. He was a kind, conscientious, and giving person who cared about family and his faithful K-9 companion, Sugar Magnolia. His thoughtfulness is evident even after death, for Matthew is a registered organ donor and a Locks of Love donor. Survivors include his parents, Micheal and Linda of Loves Park, brothers, Bruce (Tonya) and Brian (Mindy) both of Rockford;sister, Michelle (Jon) Newman of Stevens Point, WI; nephews, Michael and Scott; nieces, Miranda, Abby and Emma; aunt, Ann (John) Holub of St. Charles, MO and very special aunt, Mary Melody and cousin Rose Melody; special friend Billy Martocci, Frank and Dee Phillips and all of his friends from the Blue Moon Project.Preceded in death by his Paternal/Maternal Grandparents, his best friend, Jason Phillips andhis beloved golden retriever, Buddy.Your Mama and Papas hearts are broken now. We have our loving memories to help us through. May God keep you in his armsuntil we are together once again. Funeral services to be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park with Pastor Brent Dahlseng officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 5-7 pm.
