Melissa S. Keip

Melissa Shawn (Miller) Keip, 39, Rockford, passed away on May 16, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1985, the daughter of M. Todd and Shawn (Bluege) Miller in Rockford. She married Adam Keip on July 11, 2009, in Rockford.

A devoted member of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, Melissa cherished her faith and community. She was an avid reader with a keen interest in history and philosophy, often sharing her discoveries with those around her. Her hobbies also included cooking a variety of cuisines, gardening, and practicing needlework, showcasing her creativity and love for the arts.

Above all, Melissa adored her family, prioritizing their well-being and happiness throughout her life.

She is survived by her parents, M. Todd and Shawn Miller; her husband, Adam Keip; her son, Liam Keip; her sister, Allyson Miller; and was loved by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded by her sister, Lauren S. Miller.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
