Michael "Mike" D. Stoll

Michael "Mike" D. Stoll, 39, of Rockford, left his cancer behind him, Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on May 25, 1976, in Maywood, IL; to parents Robert A. and Carole "Sue" Stoll. Mike was a 1994 graduate of Rockford Boylan Catholic High School. He played soccer for many years. He loved his Chicago sports teams; the Cubs, the Hawks, and especially the Bears. Mike was passionate about many things, but nothing could top his love for his family. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Our lives have been blessed and we will always miss him.

Mike is survived by his Mom, Sue; siblings, James (Marcie Lara) Stoll, Megan (Danny) Cortez, and Sarah Stoll; niece and nephew, Abigail and Joey "JoJo" Cortez; uncle, Michael (Jan) Cialkowski; aunt, Holly Stoll; and many more loving family, friends, and supporters.

He is predeceased by his Dad, Robert in 2008; his uncle, David Stoll in 2014; and both of his paternal and maternal grandparents.


Mike's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with Chaplain Pam Lojewski officiating. Burial to follow at Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2015, at the funeral home; and also from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Mike's Family to be determined at a later date. Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, is caring for the Stoll Family.
