Mildred "Millie" A. Ferguson

Mildred "Millie" A. Ferguson, 95, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. 

Millie was born November 28, 1927 to Robert and Alline Bambush in Columbus, Georgia. Shortly after World War Two she relocated to Rockford, Illinois to raise her family. Millie was known for her work ethic, many times working two jobs to provide for her family. She worked for the Rockford Newspaper, Quaker Oats and Members Alliance Credit Union until finally retiring in her late seventies. She enjoyed watching and yelling at the television news, especially when politicians were the subject. She also loved watching golf (she never played) on Sunday and rooting for her favorite, Tiger Woods.

Millie is survived by sons Michael (Maureen), Vince, Timothy (Mary), Joseph (Sherri), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, sister Betty, daughter Terri Rodgers and grandson, Andrew Doster.

A small family service will be conducted at a later date. Final resting place will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
