Nalayla Grace Carbajal Sykes,1, gained her wings on Thursday, August 14, 2025. She was born on November 25, 2023, to her loving parents, Angela Carbajal and Drevon Sykes, at Swedish American in Rockford. She loved to play with her sister and watch baby shark, sing and dance, and was kind and loving to everyone she met

She is survived by her parents, Angela and Drevon; her sister, Novaly; her grandparents, Vanette and Angelo, and Sheila and George; her uncles, James, Matt, Angelo, Gregory and Denzel; her aunts, Bryanna, Giselle, Eboni, and Emoni; her godmother, Jamea; and a lot more family and friends who miss her dearly.
