Nancy Brunner, (84), daughter of John Kilb and Thelma McHugh Kilb passed away peacefully on the morning of August 16th. She was born, August 23, 1940, in Fox Lake, Illinois. She married David Roy Brunner on October 28, 1961, in Ingleside, Illinois. They were married 63 years and 9 months. Nancy and Dave were a couple in the truest sense and enjoyed dancing, camping, walking, jazz festivals, yearly family vacations, reading, volunteering, holding hands and simply being together. They have three daughters Christine Brunner Luse (Ron), Angelia DeWeese (Chad), and Sandra Brunner Evarrs. Nancy loved her grandchilden: Aidan, Deirdre, Reddyn, Declan, Max, Lydia, Clara, Eva, Brady and Pierson. She was second oldest of four girls including Doreen Wardell (Robert) who proceeded her in death, Stephanie Hahn (Randy) and Joanne Karnefell (Russ). She was an amazing junior high math teacher and later excelled as a school principal. Nancy was beautiful, kind, positive, strong in spirit and grateful for her life. We loved her and knew she loved us.
Memorials services will be held on Thursday, August 28th at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N. Bell School Rd, Rockford, Illinois. Visitation at 10:00am and funeral at 11:00am. All are welcome to both.
Nancy loved fresh cut garden flowers. You are welcome to bring a small bouquet from your garden to honor her.
