Palma M Henry

Palma M. Henry, 95, of Rockford, went to her heavenly home, on Sunday, June 28, 2015. She was born on July 29, 1919, in Rockford; to parents Marcello and Maria (Borgo) DalPra. She married her loving husband, Carl K. Henry on October 16, 1948. Palma worked for 30 years at Sundstrand Corporation, retiring in 1982. She was a devout member of St. Rita Catholic Church, and a member of both the Venetian and Verdi Ladies Auxillary.
Palma is survived by her daughter, Marietta Henry; brother, Ampellio “Pep” (Rose) DalPra; brother-in-law, Pete (Elenore) Henry of Florence, Al; sister-in-law, Gladys Jacobs of Morrison, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband; son, Thomas; her parents; sister, Mary DalPra; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Clara, Anthony and Mary, and Nello and Natalie. Palma’s family would like to send a special thank you to Ann, Barbara, and Ella; who took such wonderful care of Palma.
Funeral Mass for Palma will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr., Rockford, IL, 61109, with visitation prior to Mass, starting at 9:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Palma’s family to be determined in her memory at a later time. Funeral arrangements are cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
