Patricia Ann Wilson, 82, of Rockford, passed away on June 11, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 16, 1941, in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the daughter of David and Mildred (Andrews) Hatfield. She married Eddie Wayne Wilson on August 11, 1956, in Clinton, Iowa. She worked for Septran/Sunrise as a bus driver for over 25 years and was called Granny by all her students. Patricia valued her family most, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and snow birding to Fort Myers, Florida. She was known for being a giving, kind, and friendly person who didn’t know a stranger. She loved spending time with her best friends and coworkers, Susan and Wanda. You could always find her watching reality tv, especially Survivor and Big Brother.
She is survived by those who loved her most, children, Ricky D. Wilson and David (Lynn) Wilson; grandchildren, Joshua (Tatina Cardino) Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Shelby (Jonathan) Mize, Michael (Liv Hartman) Wilson, and Jazmin (Junior Trevino) Wilson; great grandchildren, Asher Rey and Millie Lou; siblings, David (G-Ann) Hatfield, Debbie (Paul) Gerwen, and Donna Hatfield; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friend, Patsy Admji. She is predeceased by her parents, David and Mildred; husband, Eddie; son, Jeff Wilson; grandson, Jeremy Wilson; daughter-in-laws, Linda and Heidi Wilson; and brother-in-law, Jim Choate.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
