Patricia L. “Pat” (Hannah) Lang, 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Rockford, IL. The daughter of John and Agnes (Sughroue) Hannah. She was born on March 20, 1950, in Minneapolis, MN. She married David Lang on March 1,1980, in Rockford, IL, where they remained married for 45 years.
Pat spent many years as a secretary where she met her husband Dave. Then went on to nurture the minds of young learners as an elementary school computer instructor before her retirement. She was a devout parishioner at St. Edward Catholic Church and then St. Bridget Catholic Church, finding joy and community in her church families.
She found peace and solace sitting on her deck, watching birds flutter by. The simple pleasures brought her immense joy, and she relished the moments spent outdoors. When it came time to unwind, she would light the television and watch game shows, Wheel of Fortune being her favorite.
Outside the classroom and church, Pat had a vibrancy about her that drew others in. Her personality shone brightly, especially when she was surrounded by children. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cherished every moment shared with them.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Lang; her children, Michael (Maurine) Lang, Annette (Jamin) Romano, David Lang II, and her grandchildren, Justin Lang, Steven Lang, and James Lang, Joey Romano, Anthony Romano, Sam Lang, Elise Lang, Owen Lang, her step granddaughter, Lindsey Carter; her great grandchildren, Troy Lang and Tanner Lang; and step great grandchildren, Urijah Carter and Isaiah Carter. She is preceded by her parents; her brother, John Hannah Jr. and her sister, Jane Sartino. A devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and best friend will surely be missed.
