Patrick J. Faith

Patrick J. Faith, 77, Rockford, died Wednesday morning in the comfort of his home with his wife by his side. Born August 29, 1936 in Belvidere, son of Patrick H. and Mae (Tobyne) Faith. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Married Bonita L. (Davis) Hentges in Poplar Grove on August 29, 1970. Previously worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for several years and retired from Local #1035 after many years. He was a long time active member of the Foresters. Pat was a fun loving man who was proud of his Irish heritage and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He was also known for his famous saying, "feel this", while proudly flexing his muscles to anybody and everybody.

Survivors include his wife, Bonita; children, Jodea Faith, Mike (Chris) Faith, Jeff Faith and Aletha (Tim) Beard; step-children, Eric Hentges, Angela (Peter) Scordato; son-in-law, Mark Pryor; grandchildren, Amiee, Meghan, Brittany, Hunter, Kasi, Amanda, Cameron, Joshua, Matthew, Savanna, William, Joey, Adam, Noah, P.J., Roman, Tyler and Jessica; seven great-grandchildren and special friend, Rick Malott. Predeceased by his parents; son, Kevin Faith; step-daughter, Amber Pryor and grandson, Zachary.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Dr. Richard A. Wang officiating.
