Paul C. Kotz

Paul C. Kotz, 63, of Rockford, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born September 13, 1944 in Pierre, SD; the son of Aloysious amp; Mabel (Knutson) Kotz. Married Alyce F. Houchin on November 22, 1965. He retired as a machinist from Rockford Powertrain. He served in the National Guard. Was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and served as a Grand Knight and District Deputy in the Knights of Columbus. Paul spent countless hours coaching baseball and football for his sons teams. He is survived by his wife, Alyce; daughters, Melissa (Robert) Chapman, Kathryn Kotz, Paula (Aric) Clevenger; son, Michael Kotz; grandchildren, Erin Jardine, Gillyanne Redisi and Zane Clevenger; great-grandchild, Marie Martin; brothers, Austin (Bonnie) Kotz, Gerald Kotz, Steven (Barbara) Kotz and James (Eileen) Kotz; sister, Mary Haiston and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents and infant brother, Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Monday, January 14, 2008 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, ILnbsp; 61108nbsp; with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating.nbsp; Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Monday at the funeral home.
