Peter Joseph Gallagher

Peter Joseph Gallagher, 55, of Belvidere formerly of Oxford, MI passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Born October 18, 1959 in Wilkes-Barre, PA the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Thiel) Gallagher. He graduated Wilkes University in 1981, and married the love of his life, Sue Belles, in 1982. He was a loyal employee of K-mart/Sears for nearly 35 years. Peter was an avid Notre Dame, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Boston Celtics fan. He was a loving, loyal, and cherished husband, father and friend.
Survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue Gallagher; twin sons Edward G. and Peter L. Gallagher; daughter Kathryn E. Gallagher; son Joseph Gallagher; his sister Claire (Manny) Mendoza; his beloved friend Lisa Dent and her boys; several nephews and many dear friends and former colleagues at Kmart/Sears. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ed Gallagher Jr.
The family wishes to thank Doctors Kellenberger and Ponnambalam, Swedish American Hospital and Journey Care Palliative Services; especially, nurses Vickie, Tonia and Joan.
As Peter always said: “How does a brown cow that eats green grass give white milk?”
