Raymond A. Gustman

Raymond Gustman, 88, a lifelong resident of Rockford passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Provena St. Anne Center. Born August 21, 1923 in Rockford; the son of Alfred J. Gustman and Helen (Norick) Gustman. Raymond worked at ComEd for 32 years. He had a deep enthusiasm for homing pigeons and was a member of the East Rockford Pigeon Club for over 50 years. Raymond was an avid fisherman, who loved the outdoors and camping. He was a member of the American Legion Club Post 1207 and the Navy Club. The family would like to give a special thank you to Provena St. Anne Center and Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief.Raymond is survived by his sons, Dan, Jerry (Kelly) and Tim; grandchildren, Lindsey (David) Homan and Jordan Gustman; sister, Evelyn Lees; niece, Nancy Loutz and nephews, Roger Alton and Tom Barsch. Predeceased by parents, wife, Jean, sister, Dorothy Alton and nephew, Bob Barsch.Visitation will be on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road.
